\r\nDo you enjoy going toe to toe about important topics that impact today’s world? Do you want better research and public speaking skills? Do you have a lot of opinions about a lot of things? If so, Debate might be for you! This year’s topic is : “Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase fiscal redistribution in the United States by adopting a federal jobs guarantee, expanding Social Security, and/or providing a basic income.” Come find out more about the West Bridgewater Debate Team next Wed Afternoon (Sept 13th) in room 202. Any interested High school students are invited. All returning members should be in attendance as well. See Mr. Ennis with any questions.
\r\nModel UN will be meeting today in the Library during Power Block. New members are always welcome. If you need a pass see Mr. Nenopoulos or take one from the Manila Folders outside the Green Commons.
\r\nDrum Circle is happening this Friday during power block in the Music Room. If you enjoy music and sharing that passion with others give Drum circle a try.
\r\nThere will be a brief informational meeting on Monday after school in the TV Studio. The Video Club is open to all students grades 7-12. We will explore your interests in the video/film industry - no experience necessary!
\r\nDo you love to crochet? Or have you always wanted to learn how? Join Ms. Kendall every Wednesday after school in the band room for crochet club! You can bring in your own tools if you have them, but tools and yarn will be provided.
\r\nHow serious are you about your video games? Ever consider playing on an E-sports team? There will be a meeting during power block on Wednesday in the Computer Lab. Anyone who is curious about E-sports should attend.
\r\nSchool is stressful! Want to chill out? Stop by the computer lab to hang out with friends and get in some game time. Join us on Thursday, after school, for our first meeting of the Minecraft and Video Game Club. All students in grades 7-12 are welcome. Any questions, stop by and see Mrs. Edgar.
\r\n\r\nTo paraphrase Jane Goodall, what each of us does in this life makes a difference, so we have to decide what kind of difference we want to make. The Leos Club invites all students who believe in the power of helping others and who have the time and dedication to commit to community service to join us. On Friday, September 15th, come to Room 211 during Power Block for an organizational meeting. Bring questions and ideas! And if you can’t make the meeting but are interested in the club, drop by Ms. O’Loughlin’s room to sign up.

It’s so good to be back to school, but do you find that you are feeling a little homesick for white sandy beaches, salt air and ocean waves? It’s not too early to start planning for that lovely day next June, when the bell rings on the last day of school.
\r\nHow would you like to head directly from final exams to Logan Airport where you’ll embark on an epic field trip to an exotic island adventure in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands? This field trip isn’t just a normal vacation -- It’s boat rides on crystal clear waters, sunsets over the Pacific Ocean and snorkeling with giant tortoises. It’s a chance to learn about unique ecosystems, biodiversity, conservation efforts and more. Concepts we learn in biology and environmental science classes will come to life.
\r\nInterested students in grades 10-12 should visit Mrs. Edgar in the computer lab to grab a brochure and more information.
\r\nDo you have a great idea for a day during Spirit week? An idea for a great activity or guest speaker? Make sure you are heard, but joining students council! The first meeting will be Wednesday during powerblock in room 112! All students in grades 9-11 are welcome!
\r\nAny sophomore, junior, or senior interested in purchasing a class ring can pick up a ring information packet and order form from Mr. Winchell in Room 215. Class ring orders will be taken on Thursday, September 21st from 5:00-6:30pm in the lobby and during lunches on Friday, September 22nd.
\r\nLooking for a seasonal job? Jordan’s Furniture is hiring for their Enchanted Village. They are having two hiring events: September 26th and October 2nd. If you are interested, more information is available in Guidance.
\r\nStudents who are interested in taking the PSAT exam on Saturday, October 14, must sign up in Guidance by September 22nd, as well as pay the test fee of $30.
\r\nAP exams are $98 per exam. The deadline to pay is Wednesday, November 15th.
\r\nJuniors and Seniors! Representatives from colleges/universities and the military are scheduled to visit our school. Make sure to check the Guidance website to see who is visiting and swing by Guidance to sign up for the colleges/universities that interest you. The first three visits are: US Air Force, Bryant University and Fisher College.
\r\nFree breakfast is available daily before the bell and at the mid-morning break. Important! students getting breakfast before the bell will need to pay for any additional food at break time.
\r\nToday’s featured hot breakfast is a new item- French toast bites with tots. Other choices include a variety of pastries, soft pretzels, uncrustables, assorted breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, rainbow sprinkle yogurt parfaits and the “pick 2” snack rack. For cereal lovers, check out the new speedy cereal display in front of the milk chest.
\r\nFor lunch, look for the first teriyaki chicken noodle bowl of the school year at the hot line. Tofu noodle bowls are available for those that prefer a vegan option. Hotdogs are at the grill and the pizza station is serving crunchy mozzarella sticks with marinara. Freshly made grab and go’s include chicken caesar salads and wraps, Chicken bacon ranch wraps and salads, vegetarian mediterranean wraps and a Quinoa salad, bagels w/ yogurt, turkey and ham subs and uncrustables.

Reminder, today (9/13) we have a guest speaker. High school students will be called to break at 8:45 and head into the auditorium by grade for a 9:00am start. Middle school students will be called to break when the high school students are dismissed from the auditorium. The middle school assembly will begin about 10:15.
\r\nThursday, September 14th during powerblock, there will be a PSAT meeting for all sophomores and juniors in the auditorium after the freeze. Powerblock teachers of sophomores and juniors are expected to be present with their students.
