ROCK YOUR SOCKS THIS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1st! Wear your most colorful, mismatched or fun socks to school and donate to Inclusion Matters to support their efforts to include students with disabilities in our school. The Power Block with the most funds will win a PIZZA PARTY! Let's have a blast and make a positive impact!
There will be meetings of the Student Council on Monday November 27th at powerblock and afterschool in the Learning Commons. You only need to attend one of the meetings! All students in grades 9-12 are welcome to attend.
Snowsports School at Blue Hills Ski Area in Canton, MA has a few opportunities for students who may be seeking employment between fall and spring sports, or other opportunities for growth. They have part-time positions in all departments, with positions available for ages 14+ (instructors), 16+ (customer service and rentals), and many 18+ positions if any recent graduates are looking. Their next job fair is on Tuesday 11/28 at 5PM-8PM. If you are interested, please come to Guidance to get the link for more information.
Drama club’s production of Matilda Jr. opens this Friday, December 1st at 7:00! There is another show the following evening, December 2nd, also at 7:00. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the office, from Ms. Kendall, or at the door on show night. With such a talented cast, it’s sure to be an amazing show. We hope to see you there!
Sophomores the deadline to apply for the all-expenses paid HOBY conference is December 21st. This is a great opportunity for sophomores to be introduced to distinguished leaders from various businesses. Of course, you can always pay your own way to attend the HOBY conference if you are not selected.
Today’s breakfast is sausage wrapped in pancake on a stick with tots, Other choices include a variety of pastries, soft pretzels, uncrustables, assorted breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, rainbow sprinkle yogurt parfaits and the “pick 2” snack rack. For cold cereal lovers, check out the speedy cereal display in front of the milk chest..
For lunch, the hotline is serving Asian chicken with rice. Hamburgers and Cheeseburgers and big daddy’s pizza round out the hot food. Freshly made grab and go’s include chicken caesar salads and wraps, Buffalo chicken wraps, vegetarian mediterranean wraps, bagels w/ yogurt, ham subs and uncrustables. This week’s featured salad is a Buffalo chicken with cheddar and bacon. Please think about reducing food waste! Only take what you think you’ll eat and put unopened juice, fruit and other sealed items in the share bins for others to enjoy.
