Does the idea of giant buckets of snow falling from the sky excite you? Do you smile when you close your eyes and imagine looking out the bus window and seeing a mountain? Does your heart skip a beat when you think about digging your winter clothes out of the closet? There will be a ski and ride club meeting on Friday in the TV Studio during POWDER block. If you’re interested, you must attend.

There will be a Halloween Movie Night on October 29th. The first showing is Hocus Pocus at 5:00pm and the second showing, Halloweentown, at 6:45pm. The price is $5 for adults and $3 for students, with candy bags and pizza being sold. It will be held in the cafeteria, so make sure to bring chairs and any blankets or pillows to get comfy! 

If you ordered a FougFuerte tshirt and have not yet received it, please see Señora Oliveira in Room 114 with your payment. Remember to wear them again this Friday to show your support!

POWDERPUFF sign ups are this week ONLY during powerblock in the cafe. All participants must have their sign up sheet and permission slip in bye this Friday October 25th   If you did not receive a permission slip to be signed by your parent or guardian please come down to the cafe during powerblock. The game is scheduled for SATURDAY November 9th!!

Girls in grades 7-12 who are playing basketball are to meet in room 108 during Powerblock on Thursday, October 31.

Yesterday was the volleyball team's last game of the season at Atlantis Charter. It was a sad day ending a great season and the team's best yet! They ended the season 8-12. Congrats to seniors Grace LaRosa, Genna Noe, Gabby Paulding, and Nic Sousa! 

The girls varsity soccer team celebrated their senior game with a win over Avon 7-0.  Amanda Jacques scored two goals and Arianna Georgantas, Mia Toner, Ellie Smith, Rachael Genuich and senior Alyssa Gill each scored one. Nice job girls.

October 24th is National Food Day, a day celebrating a movement to promote policies that support healthy, affordable and sustainable food for all. Specifically, this day is intended to focus on fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and the limiting of processed foods. Today the Wildcat Cafe is serving all natural chicken tenders with no artificial ingredients, farm-fresh roasted potatoes, brown-sugar butternut squash, and applecake on the hotline. Pulled pork on an onion roll with Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce and burgers are at the grill and the pizza station is serving individual cheese pizzas. Homemade vegetarian chili is available with all lunches. The featured grab and gos are a chicken bacon ranch wrap and a fiesta chicken salad bowl. Funnel cakes and assorted breakfast sandwiches and pastries are offered at break.
