Congratulations to the High School Math Club on their victory over Rockland High School last Thursday at the year’s first meet. Josh Polen was one of the high scoring seniors among the 7 competing schools. Kenzie Martin, Maggie McCafferty, Lauren Mitcheson, Bryanna Vilnaigre, Lenny Soto, Paige McGettrick, and Eric Ames also scored for WB. The next practice for the Math Club will be on Monday after school in Mrs. Graziano’s room.
Open gym for basketball will be held this week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday each day until 3:30. Get ready for the season and make sure that you sign up on family id for tryouts if you are coming out for the team.
Registrations for boys town basketball are now open on WBYAA.com. Leagues include a senior division for grades 7-9, as well as super senior division for grades 10-12. Grades 10-12 play against teams from the Bridgewater youth league. Registrations are open through mid November.
Juniors are also reminded to turn in their $45 dues to either Mr.Finley or Mrs.Graziano

Throughout the month of November, the LEO’s club is participating in a book drive for children to increase literacy. It would be great if everyone could bring in at least one book. Books can be dropped off with either Mr. Finley or Mrs. Pope.
Live Drawing - National French Week - Tuesday, 11/12
On behalf of the la Société Honoraire de Français, we’d like to extend our sincere appreciation to all who participated in the weekly trivia contest during last week’s celebration of National French Week. We appreciate the support and positive feedback we received. Anyone who got a perfect score on any quiz during the week earned a raffle ticket for a chance to win an Amazon giftcard. The boys and girls cross country teams travelled to Wrentham on Saturday to participate in the MIAA’s Eastern Mass Championships. The boys team finished 5th overall out of 29 schools. Nathan Razza and Evan Kaprelian both ran personal best times for 5 kilometers. Madsen Anderson became just the 4th Wildcat ever to break 18 minutes on the course. Chance Bain and Chris Pratt both had fantastic finishing kicks, and seniors Gus Caceres and Brett Gormley each had excellent performances in their final races.
The girls cross country team won their “Super Bowl” as they finished first out of 30 schools in dominating fashion. Caitlin Kaprelian and Adi Hohengasser both medaled due to their top 10 finishes. Sarah Kearton ran her personal best time for 5K. Joie Kennon and Dorothea McGrath both ran super strong races, while Charlotte Sinasky, and Lauren Mitcheson picked off runners left and right. Each member was an integral part of the team as they earned WBXC’s first ever MIAA trophy.
The Wildcat Cafe is serving Pizza Max sticks with marinara sauce on the hotline today. Beef, cheddar, and rice burritos and chicken patties are at the grill and the pizza station is offering Tony’s French bread pizza. The featured grab and gos this week are a fiesta chicken salad bowl and chicken bacon ranch wraps. Warm donuts and assorted breakfast sandwiches and pastries are available at break.
