The boys basketball team kept up their winning ways last night as they defeated Diman by a score of 77 to 60. The 3 ball was flying as Jack Shea, Stevie Gabriel, Aiden Baker, Anthony Ambrose, and Nathan Razza all netted three pointers for the wildcats. Chase Ryan and Brett Gormley did a great job on the boards boxing out the Diman big men. Ryan Hulme, Tommy Perna, and Zach Bellody played strong defense for WB. Nice win boys basketball team! Keep up the hard work!
The girls track team had their first loss of the season last night against Bishop Feehan. The score was 58 to 42. That is super close and the girls should be very proud for making this powerhouse team sweat it out at the meet. Some highlights include Captain Anna Trott continuing to dominate in long jump, high jump and hurdles, as she took first place in all 3 events. Newbie Grace Schnell had a PR in long jump of 14-8 and finished 2nd. Captain Lauren Mitcheson had an excellent time of 47.6 in the 600 and finished 1st. Another newbie standout is Adi Hohengasser who came in 1st in the 1000 with a time of 3:34. Finally, Captain Caitlin Kaprellian broke 13 minutes in the 2 mile with a time of 12:51.60. Great job to all the girls! We will get them next time. Girls are 4-1.
