Yo Environmental Club: Powerblock recycling is happening today. All members should attend.
Love to explore other nations, and cultures while engaging in meaningful dialogue towards resolving crisis, regional, and global issues, then West Bridgwater Model United Nations Club might be the right fit for you. Join us this Thursday During Power Block in the Library for an informational meeting. This club is open to any student grades 7-12. Sign ups outside the Green commons Room, or see Mr. Nenopoulos with any Questions.
The Global Citizens are looking for new members for the 2021-2022 school year. What is Global Citizens? Its a club for students who are interested in languages, travel and other cultures. The club is looking for students who wish to educate themselves and the community about important issues, practices and places around the world. If you’re interested and want to learn more come to a meeting in the language lab on Friday May 21st. See Mr. Ennis or Mrs Foguere with any questions.
There will be a meeting for any high school student interested in joining the debate team next year today (thursday) after school in room 202. See Mr. Ennis with any questions.
The Morning News crew is looking for anchors to take over Tuesdays and Thursdays after the seniors leave this week. You can get community service hours if you need it and it’s open to all grades. This means you too middle schoolers! We can take up to two for each day so there are plenty of spots open. If you’re interested in being an anchor, stop by the TV studio and find Mr. Cray, track down Ben Astor, or send either an e-mail.
Today is the last day to buy tickets for the Tri-M raffle fundraiser. Members of Tri-M will be coming around to sell tickets during power block. Winners will be drawn tomorrow morning, so make sure you come down to the music hallway and get your tickets in by the end of today!
There will be a girls ice hockey meeting in the gym during powerblock this today. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Hammel in the Athletic Department.
The weight room is open to any WB student Monday through Thursday from 4-6pm. Anyone that is interested please see Ms. Hammel in the athletic office.
If you need some service hours, the French Honor Society is collecting personal hygiene items for the Haitian Health Foundation. NHS members, Leo’s club, and seniors can receive 1 hour of community service for every 2 FULL SIZE items donated. Some suggested items include soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, and nail clippers. Members of the French Honor Society will collect items from Powerblocks. Items can also be dropped off in Room 214 and there will be a collection bin in the main office for donations. See Mrs. Eddlem with any questions. The last day for donations is May 21.
Spring cleaning??? The NJHS is working with the Cradles to Crayons organization for their spring drive. We will be collecting clothing donations for children in need from newborn to 12 years old. Donations should be in great condition, no shoes, and no used undergarments or socks. Please leave donations in the designated box outside the front office starting this Monday, May 13th. The drive will last until next Thursday, May 20th. Let's help make a difference! Remember, NJHS members can also receive community service time per donation. The JV Baseball team starts off the season with a 1-1 record. They lost to a strong Durfee Freshman team on Monday. But bounced back quickly with a win at Avon behind strong pitching and solid defense. They will play on Friday at home against Tri-County. Practice will be right after school on the field. r
- (5/20) Today’s lunch is chicken nuggets served over buttered noodles, Tony’s French bread pizza or grilled cheese along with a variety of fresh grab and go wraps and salads. Warm donuts, soft pretzels, assorted breakfast sandwiches and pastries are available at break. All meals are free through the rest of the year.
