MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

The West Bridgewater debate team competed in rounds 5 and 6 this past Wednesday taking wins in 4 out of 3 rounds!

The affirmative team dominated in round 5, easily winning, with Gina Valante and Kaytlyn picking up 29 and 27 speaker points respectively. Congratulations to Gina winning first speaker with a nearly perfect score in that round. The dynamic duo were back at it in round two, despite a low score win, they countered all the negative’s arguments and took the round. Great sweep girls!

The negative team found success right out of the gate in round 5. Using a powerful cross examination to blast holes in the affirmative plan, Paige McGettrickand Dharlenny Soto won the issues of Inherency and Need for change. Additional congratulations to Dharlenny taking 1st speaker in the round with 26 speaker points! The West Bridgewater Debate team looks to improve its record after a short break, in rounds 7 and 8 on Feb. 16th.

(1/28) The Wildcat Cafe is serving a variety of Original pizza, chicken patties and beef and cheese nachos for lunch today along with grab and go wraps, salads and subs. This week’s featured wrap is Asian chicken with crunchy peapods and chow mein noodles. Scrambled egg wraps, chicken patty sliders, donuts, soft pretzels, assorted pastries and breakfast sandwiches are available at break.

It is important to take a fruit, juice or veggie with each meal!
