The French Honor Society is collecting donations for the Haitian Health Foundation. Seniors can receive 1 hour of community service for every 2 items donated. Some suggested items include creamy peanut butter, canned tuna, bar soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes and new/gently used soccer balls. Members of the French Honor Society will collect items from Powerblocks. Donations can also be dropped off in Room 214. The last day of the collection drive is May 9.

Attention High School Students - the Photo Club is hosting a school wide Photo Contest. The contest is open to all high school students and is looking for your photographs. Entries are limited to one photo per student. Please email images or drop off prints to Mr. Ennis by Friday May 6. Photos will be hung in the green commons starting the week of May 9th and High School Students will vote via Google Form on their favorite. There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize. More information to follow once the contest is hung up. If you have any questions please see Mr. Ennis.

¡Buenos días! ¿Tienes libros viejos en tu casa lo que no quieres? Do you have old books in your house that you don’t want? Donate them to the Spanish Honors Society for schools that are less fortunate than ours. For every book that you leave, you may receive half an hour of community service from Señora Oliveira. Leave your books in the box at the front of the school.

For their 8th grade Civics Project Maggie and Melody are doing a raffle for a $20 Tom and Jimmy's gift card. Entries are $1 and should be given to Mrs. Diedrichsen in the nurse's office. The raffle winners will be announced on May 15th. All proceeds are going towards food for the animals at Winslow Farms.

Volunteer Opportunity:  The fourth annual “river walk” on river street, is scheduled for June 5th, from 10am-2pm with a rain date of June 12th. There are lots of events scheduled as well as entertainment.  We are in need of some volunteers who could earn community service hours to help set up, run activities and assist in the day running smoothly.

Attention all candidates for induction into the French and Spanish Honor Societies. There will be mandatory practice for the induction ceremony on Tuesday, May 3rd and Thursday, May 5th in the auditorium. Please check into PB on those days and then report to the auditorium. If there are any issues, please see Señora Oliveira or Madame Eddlem.

Half the bathrooms have been closed for over a month now. Students haven’t been thrilled about the inconvenience but many are frustrated without knowing exactly why they were closed in the first place. Here’s Wildcat News reporter Kendall Beady with more on the situation.

(5/2) The Wildcat Cafe is serving  rotini pasta with meatballs and marinara and garlic bread, chicken patties and Big Daddy’s pizza today for lunch. Freshly made grab and go wraps, salads and power packs include  this week’s special of chicken bacon ranch wraps and salads and a charcuterie box with meats, cheese, fresh fruit and crackers. Chicken sliders, warm donuts, pretzels, egg sandwiches, uncrustables, yogurt parfaits, cereal, smoothies and assorted pastries are available at break. Don’t forget to take at least one serving of veggies or fruit at each meal.
