\r\nHey old sports! Any juniors who wish to attend the Newport field trip on May 27th need to submit their monies and permission slips to Mrs. Desimone or Mr. Rosow no later than this Friday May 13th.
\r\nCongratulations to the members of the chorus and band who performed at last nights spring concert. A special recognition goes out to the five senior band members and four senior chorus members. Under the direction of Mr. LeMarier, the band played the Beatles hit, She Loves You and under the direction of Ms. Kendall, the chorus sang their rendition of We Don’t Talk about Bruno. Great job everyone!
\r\nAttention high school students and staff, Friday is the last day to sign-up and pay for the class of 2024’s corn-hole fundraiser. For only $10, you and a partner can sing-up to play in the tournament! Starting on Monday, in the courtyard, the tournament will run throughout the week during powerblock. If you have signed up already, be on the look out for an email to tell you when you are playing! There are only a few spots left so make sure to sign up and pay as soon as possible!
\r\nAttention Sophomores - Elections for next year’s class officers are coming up this month. Sign up forms have been emailed to you. Anyone interested in running must submit the form and their speech by May 16th!
\r\nJuniors - If you are interested in going on the Newport Field Trip, permission slips and $20 are due to Mrs. DeSimone by Friday May 13th at the latest!
\r\nVolunteer Opportunity: The fourth annual “river walk” on river street, is scheduled for June 5th, from 10am-2pm with a rain date of June 12th. There are lots of events scheduled as well as entertainment. We are in need of some volunteers who could earn community service hours to help set up, run activities and assist in the day running smoothly.
\r\nGUIDANCE NEWS
\r\n(5/12) The Wildcat Cafe is serving chicken nuggets and noodles, BBQ pulled pork on a bun and new stuffed crust pizza today for lunch. Freshly made grab and go wraps, salads and power packs include this week’s special of buffalo chicken wraps and salads, a turkey BLT wrap and a charcuterie box with meats, cheese, fresh fruit and crackers. Chocolate donuts, cheesy pullaparts, pretzels, egg sandwiches, uncrustables, yogurt parfaits, cereal, smoothies and assorted pastries are available at break. Don’t forget to take at least one serving of veggies or fruit at each meal.
