\r\nThursday Live Read: Well, the glorious months of October and November are behind us, and we now head into the long dark cold of the winter. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t any nature to appreciate! December is a fabulous month to be outside! The air is clean, crisp, and cold, without being miserably frigid, there usually isn’t too much snowfall yet, and there’s lots of wildlife to be seen. White tailed deer can be seen grazing in the fields, wild turkeys are running around finding food and blocking traffic, migrating Canada geese can be heard honking overhead at dusk, and if you’re very lucky you might even see some owls like the barn owl, which looks and sounds like it’s about to steal your soul. And if that’s not enough nature for you, look towards the southern horizon this month right after the sun sets. The brightest star you see up there? That’s actually Jupiter! It’s named after the king of the gods for a reason! Ok that’ll do it for me. I’m Hassan, and that’s an Environmental Minute!
