This month students in the Global Citizen Program skyped with students in Ufa, Russia as well as took part in a International Symposium on "Resistance Art" (using art forms like poetry to stand up against injustice). West Bridgewater High has made an alliance with a school in Ufa, Russia in which our students have begun to get to know each other and will be collaborating on projects over the next few months. In the symposium students were part of a discussion with students and poets from Egypt, Canada and various states in the United States. Our students had a chance to ask questions and probe cultural issues like tolerance from various perspectives.
